Hailing from a long line of salesmen and raconteurs, Jen is passionate about the power of story to connect, inspire, and influence. In a world of ad blockers, you need a good story to get through to your audience – to connect with the real people that will, if you tell your tale right, become real customers.
It makes no difference whether you are a B2B company, a B2C company, or a solopreneur just starting out and trying to make sense of the acronyms. At the end of the day, every customer is a person looking for a solution to a problem. But before your solution can succeed it needs to be noticed. Whether it’s your own story or the story of your customers, one thing is clear: Stories build trust, inspire loyalty, and take off like wildfire. Stories are made to be told.
Jen helps exceptional companies tell their stories, and grow their business not by merely “engaging their customers,” but by building real relationships with real people (using real words, really well).
She’s worked with clients across multiple industries (tech, pharmaceuticals, arts education, youth services, sales training, you get the idea…) and around the globe to provide copy and content that excites and inspires. She writes website copy, mission statements, case studies, blog posts, and email and social media marketing campaigns for companies looking to stand out in their market. But before all that, she was a songwriter.
She cut her teeth on the Chapel Hill music scene, continued in Boston, and eventually graduated to Nashville. If there is a training ground for tight copy, Music Row is it.
Realizing that there are some stories worth telling that do not fit into two verses and a chorus, she branched out into blogging (Her personal blog has a paying readership, has been featured in Forbes and Huffington Post, and shared tens of thousands of times across social media) and eventually, freelance business writing.
Today, she uses the skills she honed building an audience online and in person over two decades, to help companies find their own stories and tell them across all platforms.
